All summer long, our series of three promotional posters for the Quartier des spectacles can be found almost everywhere downtown:
... look for the stylized red dot, a list of annual festivals and events, and the list of the neighbourhood's cultural venues. These are the work of the great Ruedi Baur as reinterpreted by the also-great David Hopkins, our graphic designer. We love those posters.
What's more, if you went to the major events like the Montreal Jazz Festival, Just for laughs or the Francofolies, you probably saw our banners hanging at the festival sites. By night, you could also spot the transparencies that say "You really are in the Quartier des spectacles". Come on, you know you find it reassuring!
Finally, our board members, accompanied by Ville-Marie borough mayor Benoit Labonté and Clément Demers have agreed to pose for the camera of Thien Vu Dang of collectif Ilu. This group of videographers won an Aéroports de Montréal contest with a proposal to present 20 portraits of the personalities that "make Montreal move". These videos will be projected for a year in the arrivals hall of Montréal-Trudeau.
