A vibrant celebration of the Caribbean diaspora and culture in Canada – an unforgettable night of film, music, food, and community. The event will feature a screening of the film series Sounds & Pressure: Reggae in a Foreign Land followed by a live panel discussion with the directors, Chris Flanagan and Graeme Mathieson, alongside Montreal’s own reggae voices. Together, they’ll delve into how the culture has thrived through the power of sound and community. Also featured: The exclusive launch of a special exhibit curated by The Afrosonic Innovation Lab, ‘The String Up’: Celebrating Reggae Histories and Sound System Culture in Montreal. Experience the exhibit, enjoy the screening, and stick around afterwards. Music provided by CKUT DJs and delicious food on offer by The Caribbean Food Factory throughout the night.
